Excursions and Free Time at Sommercamp Deutsch
Begliktash
Near Primorsko, where the Strandzha Mountain embraces the seashore, lies the hidden megalithic Thracian rock sanctuary Beglik Tash.
Children will feel the magic and spirit of the ancient tribes who once inhabited these lands.
Also known as the Bulgarian Stonehenge, this mystical Thracian sanctuary is the most significant legacy left by the Thracians along our southern Black Sea coast.
It is the place where our ancestors paid homage to the Sun God and the Mother Goddess.
Veleka River Boat trip
Without a doubt, the mouth of the Veleka River is one of the most impressive places along our Black Sea coast.
A boat trip on the Veleka River will leave your child with vivid memories and a strong desire to return to this magical place.
During the trip, children can see Caspian tortoise, grey herons, kingfishers, and learn fascinating facts about the Strandzha montain.
A favourite ending to the excursion is a water battle between two boats!
The children are divided into two teams, which also include members of the camp staff.
Minigolf
The mini golf course in Tsarevo features 18 championship holes.
It's wonderful location near the sea and under the cool shade of the trees in the seaside park makes this excursion especially enjoyable on hot summer days.
Sozopol
The oldest town on our Black Sea coast, Sozopol is one of the most beloved and eagerly awaited excursions.
Beyond the lively summer atmosphere, the historical heritage of the Thracians, Romans, and Byzantines can be seen at every step — archaeological excavations, preserved fortress walls, church icons and wooden iconostases, and cobblestone streets.
The Ancient Sozopol Archaeological Reserve serves as a stage for many educational games and discovery activities for our campers.
Aqua Park Neptun(optional)
One of the most exciting and eagerly awaited events of camp life is the children’s visit to the Aqua Park.
Traditionally, we visit Neptune Aqua Park in the village of Ravadinovo, which offers fun activities for both our younger and older campers.
During the Aqua Park visit, the children are accompanied by our team, who ensure their safety and make sure everyone has a great time.
Ravadinovo Castle "In Love with the wind"
The castle is located near Sozopol and is a unique attraction not only for Bulgaria but also beyond.
Built from Strandzha stone containing traces of micro-diamonds, the castle changes its colour at different times of the day.
Its fairy-tale splendour, bronze sculptures, Wishing Fountain, walk through the beautiful park, and swan lake — all leave unforgettable emotional memories for the children.
They will also have fun taking part in the interactive games “Escape if You Can” and “The Legend.”
Nessebar
Strabo’s Mesambria, known today as Nessebar, never ceases to enchant visitors with its stunning views and distinctive architecture.
Ancient Greeks and Thracians, Romans, Byzantines, and Ottomans have all left their mark on the city’s architectural monuments, churches, and artefacts displayed in its museums.
Our campers immerse themselves in its rich history and culture through quizzes and educational games.
Did you know that, according to ancient sources, the legendary fable writer Aesop was born in Mesambria and was of Thracian origin?
Camep Park near Nessebar
To make the excursions a bit more exotic we have added a visit to the Camel park as a free option for students who come to the camp for a second or third time. All students and staff get to feed the camels and enjoy a Camel ride.
