Day 7: Saturday 4th of August at Z Camp.
With the heavy thunderstorms from the previous few days behind us, we took the kids to the beach in the AM. The waves were bigger than usual and many of us enjoyed bodysurfing and for those who didn’t swim there was a game of beach Frisbee.
In English lessons, we finished the theme of music and both A2 and B1 class did a Listening skills activity. They listened to a song (written & sung by Mike on his guitar) and arranged pictures relating to the lyrics in the order which they appeared in the song. Kids showed us again how music can be a motivating tool to learn English and is easily accessible for all learners. As many of the kids listen to music in English outside the classroom, it made sense for us to incorporate this into the classroom, encouraging the use of creativity, stimulating the imagination and leading to greater recognition of vocabulary.
In the PM, we took the kids to Tsarevo, where we played Mini Golf. This was a popular excursion, with kids scoring their rounds in team with the winner of each group being bought an ice-cream!
After a delicious dinner of meatballs and cauliflower cheese, we put on a movie Minions 2, which the kids enjoyed, at least those who didn’t fall asleep, after another action-filled day at Z camp…zzzzz
