Day 2: Monday 30th of July at Z Camp.

This week at Z camp Music will be out theme – in class, outside of class, in the evening. We will be listening, analyzing and making music. Bear with us till the end of the week to see where this will take us…

Today we had our firsthand contact with music, we had a small group of children and everyone had a guitar in their hand. We learned two lines of music and it sounded like a conversation, only we weren’t using our voices at that time.

Did you know that you call the type of instrument only after the part that makes the noise? Well, we found out that a bottle can be both a percussion and a wind instrument, then we heard a shoe bang against the floor, but when you put a shoelace to your head, it sounds like a double bass! We made a bottlecap tambourine and one string guitars.

In the afternoon a group of students headed to the local restaurant to learn to make pizza and brought back some tasty results!

We also had a taste of sports like volleyball and tennis, we had such fun we almost forgot to have dinner, but when we got to the diner there were top delicacies and the very best vegetables Bulgaria has to offer. I wish I had come earlier, what I know is, I’m so coming back!
