Day 11: Thursday 9th of August at Z Camp.
We started off with a copious breakfast before setting out on a group excursion to the medieval town of Sozopol. The old town is surrounded by a high wall that’s been restored while leaving the old bits visible to the eye.
We escaped the avalanche of tourists toward the high street and then eat lunch in a local restaurant. We had some comfort food, ice creams and some time to rest our legs.
Little did the children know they were going to have such a splash. From Sozopol, we went to Neptune aquapark, so many waterslides, twists and turns to left and right and actually up and down, using just your body, on a mat or a floater. Had I known it was going to be so bumpy then I would have hit the breaks, but once you jump in, there’s only way out: weeeeeeeeeee!
When we got to the camp we had food waiting for us, well deserved, the little warriors dove in and replenished their fuel tanks to then do what they had been preparing for the whole week, the talent show.
We had Yana, the sketching artist, then Ehi and Ivan took us to the sand to show us some very impressive acrobatic jumps, Krystian took us on a trip around the world through his geographical whizz. Then Elena and Eva sang John Legen’s All of Me a capella, Martin got to be a stand up comedian, Maggie danced to Ed Sheeran’s Perfect and then we had our very first rock band formed before our own eyes, Velimir, Mitko and Ivan had a power trio that covered Wild Thing. Elinor, Andrea and Ana gave us a superb dancing show, then our 2 Michaels played us a song composed by Kristina and Buba let us know she wished you were here.
