Day 12: Friday 10th of August at Z Camp.

Wow, what a day. After finishing off our week-long project in presenting a news programme, given that we had the theme of Media, we were lucky enough to have had a national radio station presenter come and join us. Yes, that’s right, N-Joy presenter Inspector N-joy came to share some of his experience and knowledge on this topic with the kids. What a phenomenal moment it was. For both kids and the staff alike. A moment we will not forget for a very long time. Who knows… Maybe we have already found the next big radio DJ.

We then had our afternoon classes which consisted of editing the videos we produced over the course of the week. We also took it as an opportunity for reflection. The kids produced little booklets which explained how they felt before arriving here at Z-Camp, their initial impressions, their first week, excursions, English classes and some of their favourite memories. We couldn’t help but have a smile on our faces after reading them. It seems the team exceeded all of their expectations.

Our afternoon and evening activities were also jam packed with excitement and joy. We had a sports day on the beach which, again, proved to be a big hit with the little ones. This was then followed by an awards ceremony and disco, where we celebrated the achievements of each individual and danced until bed time.Wow, what a wonderful 2 weeks for those involved. We just hope to see your wonderfully talented kids next year. Those of you who are leaving us, you will be sorely missed. Thank you for everything.
