The rain has arrived! A day of mixed weather but also mixed blessings. Grey clouds hung over us in the morning and some light rain gave us a shower later on. It meant no excursion but also another fun-packed day at the beach and on campus.
Sports at the beach
There was lots to do on the beach: volleyball and ultimate frisbee for those with more energy; playing cards, chatting with friends and even being buried in the sand for those who wanted to take it easy.
Studying English in a fun manner
The threat of rain also meant another day of engaging English classes, continuing with the theme of music. After that we split into three groups for the afternoon activities. Arts and crafts was overwhelmingly popular, with most children opting to cut, fill, glue and decorate their very on music shakers. There were some great creations! If they weren't making musical instruments, they were flexing their vocal chords singing classic tunes like Imagine, or baking incredibly tasty cookies in the cooking activity.
All in all, a successful day, topped off by sitting back and watching a relaxing film. A well-deserved treat!
Let's see what tomorrow brings!
