Another super day at Z camp!
An early start, briskly followed by a hearty breakfast set us up nicely for the morning, where we played cards and had a relaxing time on the beach enjoying each other’s company. The bond between this camp’s children never ceases to amaze. Of course this was topped of with the occasional dip in the sea.
Lessons commenced at 11 where we learnt about future predictions, the evolution of music, and writing letters to your future self. The afternoon lessons were followed up with arts and crafts, where the kids learnt to paint like van Gogh (admittedly, the kids’ interpretations were massively varied).
We had a music session where the young ones worked towards a performance that consists of our very own rendition of ‘Hotel California’ song. A must see when it is posted up on the website!!!
We had a few kids participate in a dojo class with a qualified martial arts instructor.
Mona went home and she took our hearts with her, but her mum promised to send her back next year and that she’s taking care of them and bringing them back.
The evening activity was a lovely and intimate evening sat around a camp fire, singing and dancing whilst eating vast amounts of chocolate filled bananas, which were toasted on the red hot embers. An activity that was immensely enjoyed by all those involved.
