Friday, 2 August, Z CAMP 2019
Dear Mum and Dad,
It’s Friday! That means I’m going home tomorrow. While I can’t wait to have some home cooking and sleeping in my own bed again, I am so sad to be leaving camp!
I have had the best time since being here. But to be honest, I was terrified when I first arrived and we checked me into camp (do you remember? It feels so long ago!) and watching you walk away was really hard. But, once you went, one of the staff members came up to me and had a chat with me – in English! I couldn’t believe it but I could understand everything they were saying! That made me feel so much more confident with my English.
I was still worried about making friends though. But on the first night, we played loads of ice breaker games so by the end of the night I felt like I was friends with everyone! Then it was bedtime and I found out who my roommates were. Now, I think, I’m closer to them more than anyone!
There’s always something happening at Z-camp – it’s so much fun! After waking up, we go to the beach, which is just heaven! Then, we have our English lessons and I was a bit nervous that they wouldn’t be so fun but they are great! We do so many different activities, projects and even English games in class! After that, we have our afternoon activities and they’re so varied! I can do almost anything I want and try out new things or do things I know I love!
And now it’s time to leave. Who would have thought two weeks could go by so quickly?
See you soon Mum and Dad,
Lots of Love
P.S. Please let me come back next year!
