And so the that dreaded day has come about yet again, and I'm sure that those who were here will agree that it came about too soon, where some of our Z Campers have reached the end of their summer stay here in Kiten. A day of mixed emotions, exhaustion from the action packed 2 weeks, as I look around at breakfast time, so many with a look of reflection on their faces as they they think back to the many special memories they have accumulated during their stay. Tears being shed as the mere thought of their time with us coming to an end is both overwhelming and quite daunting. Well kids, I can safely say that saying goodbye is no easier for even the most experienced of our staff. Those special bonds that were built in such a short time really is a magical moment.
Excursion to Begligtash
After waving goodbye to our friends, Those lucky enough to have a second and in some cases, even a third week with us, we continue with out action packed day. Our excursion took us to Begliktash, an ancient site with a rich and fascinating history. Judging by the children, they were really quite blown away by it all. This was then followed by a visit to a nearby beach where our water babies were able to splash around until their hearts content.
Movie evening - the 'Black Panther'
After the highs and the lows of the days, we felt it was apt to have a more relaxing evening activity, and so we went ahead with a movie. We went with a firm favorite, "Black Panther" which kept the kids captivated right up until bedtime.
What a day! I know the staff team will sleep well, fingers crossed it's the case for the little ones.
