The ever-present heat in Tsarevo (at least in summer) was there since very early and we set out for the beach, where we climbed onto a formidable blue Monster on a quest to the unknown. We climbed and jumped onto its head, and as a team we tamed the unimaginably fierce beast and put it on a leash only to then let ourselves slide down its back many, many times.
In class we had a first self-analysis on our strengths and those needed for different jobs. One class applied for jobs, writing applications after learning about the demands of modern employers. Some students analyzed the difference between apprenticeships and university studies. In some countries where not everybody goes to Uni but still make ends meet. How many of you work in what you studied? Some kids learned and sang “She’s not just a pretty face” by Shania Twain and saw many of the roles women in the modern world can adopt.
In music class we had great advances in learning the chords and lyrics of Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5” song. The singing and guitar skills of these children is something else!
A team took it on their shoulders to feed the rest and made very tasty pizzas for dinner today. The third team also worked with food and they finished their pasta bridges, sorry, not edible at all, but ingenious indeed.
On a happily sad note, we said Maria goodbye for now and started the countdown for next year’s edition of Zenira summer camp to see her again. You will be missed and celebrated.
